Capricorn Chart Form, visually referenced as to element, ruling planet, glyph, precious stones, metals and colors and the 10th house, which is Capricorn's place in the natural Zodiac. The background for this earth sign as well as the chart form itself is of precious stones and minerals. Saturn and Capricorn are the rulers of the mineral kingdom in general, and the gemstones are symbolic of the beauty resultant from wisely using the energies of Saturn: grace in the face of pressure, transcendence in the face of limitation. Saturn is a much maligned planet in astrology, yet I feel that the energies of both Capricorn and Saturn are not negative in the least. Saturn is the Master of Limitations, and as such is the planet that shows us most clearly how far we still have to go in order to transcend our own limits. Saturn is alsoa wise Teacher and Guide, protecting us from crossing into the next phase of our life lessons until we are truly ready to do so. The Satyr/Pan figure is symbolic of Capricorn's deep but oft neglected connection to the cycle of life and earth...his flute sings to the seeds buried deep in the Earth so that under Aries and Taurus, they may reawaken.Capricorn therefore has much to do with the rebirth of the Light: it is no coincidence that the Winter Solstice, as from which the days grow longer and the earth is reborn, happens when the Sun enters this sign. The Goat climbing the mountain is another symbol for Capricorn visually referenced on this chart form. The paralell this image draws has to do with the necessity to achieve which comes under the rulership of Capricorn and Saturn. In the Natural Zodiac, the Sun in Capricorn has climbed the heavens to its midday position, the 10th house, the place from which it shines most brightly and is most visible.
